Definition of Object of Preposition / Pengertian dari
Object of Preposition
This Preposition object is a noun or pronoun which is
located after the prepositions such as at, to, by, in, of to, behind, and on
which functions to form prepositional phrases in an English sentence.
Object
Preposisi ini adalah sebuah kata benda ataupun pronoun yang letaknya setelah
kata depan (preposition) seperti at, to, by, in, of to, behind, and on yang
berfungsi untuk membentuk frasa preposisi dalam suatu kalimat Bahasa inggris.

Penjelasan : The Work
sebagai object of preposition dari by, dan Officer sebagai object of
preposition dari on. Are situ diganti menjadi IS, karena The Work itu singular.
b.
We called yesterday our friend in Palembang
to tell them about the reunion that we are planning.
Penjelasan : Seharusnya
menjadi our friend in Palembang yesterday.
Karena urutannya tidak sesuai dengan aturan
c.
She always has to
work at night
Penjelasan : At night
berarti “During the Night”

Penjelasan : Kalimat
diatas mempunyai subjek yaitu The Insturctions. Page 21 bukan merupakan sebuah
subjek tetapi sebagai object of preposition dari kata ON. Kalimat diatas
sebenarnya adalah kalimat yang salah, yang benar adalah The Instructions to the practice on the page 21 are clear.

Penjelasan : Jika
bermaksud mengungkapkan suatu pandangan maka dinyatakan dengan bantuan to
infinitive. Dan berdasarkan konteks kalimat yaitu yang membicarakan “seseorang
yang kegemukan” for wait loss tidak benar. Yang benar adalah To Lose Weight
